Students as Partners GenAI Program |

Deadline: June 8, 2026, 4 p.m. EST
This is a reminder to apply for the Students as Partners in Generative Artificial Intelligence (SaP-GenAI) program. The program provides small, term-based grants to support student-instructor partnerships in which one instructor and one undergraduate student partner co-design and co-create digital learning innovations that engage with GenAI in ethical and pedagogically meaningful ways. To support applicants, an AI-based SaP-GenAI Grant Guide is available to help explore project ideas and run a proposal readiness check.

A big thank you to 3MNTF Professor W. Stephen McNeil for his insightful seminar, hosted in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science.
Professor McNeil shared his approach to reshaping first-year chemistry, framed around the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including real-world issues and local Indigenous knowledge. Professor McNeil's SoTL research suggests a myriad of affective and cognitive benefits for students in this transformed curriculum. Thank you for an insightful visit and session!

Congratulations to our latest cohort of Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) supervisors for completing the Solution-Focused Graduate Supervision (SFGS) course, facilitated by Dr. Yukari Seko (2022 Teaching Fellow) and Dr. Miljana Horvat. Through peer learning and Live-Actor Simulation, participants developed, practiced, and discussed how solution-focused techniques can enhance supervisory skills and partnerships with students. |

Join Positive Space for our Pride Kick-off and Social Mixer. We're excited to partner again with the Urban Farm on the roof of the DCC Building, which houses the Indigenous Foodways and Black Food Sovereignty programs.
Along with some brief remarks, all 2SLGBTQ+ and allied faculty and staff, as well as all 2SLGBTQ+ students, are encouraged to join us for food, music and mingling.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided thanks to the generous support of the OVPECI office. The roof of the DCC is covered, so even if it rains, we can gather. |
